Jillian Rothschild-Scholar

Feng Shui Expert

I am a classically trained Feng Shui expert, and my foundational training is in the ancient wisdom of the over-400-year-old Wu Chang Feng Shui Mastery lineage.

I have been working in a private Feng Shui consultancy since 2010. I use the wisdom of ancient, time-tested methods, systems, and applications, while offering practical solutions for modern lifestyles. One of my strengths is that I simplify the intricate details so clients can take immediate action to enhance the physical, emotional, and/or spiritual aspects of their lives.

Experience, Education, and Certifications

The Wu Chang Feng Shui Mastery lineage was passed down by the prestigious, late Grandmaster Yap Cheng Hai of Kuala Lumpur. In order to receive my own “Master” designation, I completed private mentoring with Master Denise Liotta Dennis, who studied directly with him.

In the following years, I continued to deepen my knowledge and advance my skills with other Feng Shui experts based in the UK, Europe, Asia (such as Singapore, Taiwan, Hong Kong), and the U.S.A.

I am a proud member of the International Feng Shui Guild, a professional organization dedicated to the outreach of Feng Shui. Through this organization, I earned the Red Ribbon Professional status, which sets a standard baseline of Feng Shui knowledge and practice. I volunteer on the Welcome Committee to support incoming members to the Guild.

I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a focus on International Relations from the University of Toledo, OH; a Master of Science in Education with a specialization in Higher Education Enrollment Management from Capella University, MN; and a Project Management Certificate from Arizona State University.

Prior to practicing Feng Shui, I spent 20 years in college admissions counseling. There, I excelled in project management, team management, relationship building, event planning and customer service. I transfer a great many of my skills from my former positions to provide my Feng Shui clients with a professional, comprehensive and personalized experience. I listen deeply to client experiences and establish relationships to help clients achieve their goals over time. All recommendations are tailored to the client’s individual needs and situations.

My Path to Feng Shui

I have always been interested in alternative paths, such as self-help, natural remedies, herbs, horoscopes, metaphysics, and Reiki, in addition to conventional areas of study. After a cross-country move from Ohio to California, I started reading about Feng Shui. I soon realized that my own life was not quite right in my new home; something was “off.” Things started changing rapidly at work. A new boss came in and we didn’t get along, the relationship with my team started to feel strained, communication with my husband became argumentative — and it all seemed to happen at once. As the situation intensified and started to feel overwhelming, I remembered that Feng Shui was said to help with exactly things like this but didn’t know how to implement it. At that point, I wasn’t setting out to make Feng Shui a career path. (After all, I was working in a job I enjoyed and trying to make my way up the corporate ladder.) I was just trying to fix the situations and relationships in my own life that were not going well.

And so, to improve my life, I decided to get help.

I called a Feng Shui professional to come to my house. That Feng Shui consultation for my home changed so much in a positive direction! I started implementing the recommended suggestions, committed to making changes, and began to pay closer attention to my life. As I became a more active participant in the process, positive changes – so many more than I ever considered possible – started happening for me and my husband.

My life was transformed.

I know what it feels like when everything is “off” — off balance, off timing, off alignment — and how it doesn’t feel good at all when you feel powerless to stop it.

My experience led me to start studying Feng Shui in earnest, to the point where I made it my career. Now, I offer my clients the opportunity to get clarity and awareness about what’s happening in their living space. With the greater awareness that comes out of our sessions, they can make empowered decisions about how to bring greater ease, balance, and flow into their lives.

My Life Now

I currently live in Phoenix, AZ with my husband of 20+ years and our two kitties, Sky and Scotty.

When I go to a new place, I make a point to learn a bit of the language and culture. The best part about travel is sampling new food! When I can, I like to eat like a local.

Scholar is the name I married into and it is so true about me! I love to learn and continue to deepen my connection to the ancient knowledge of Chinese Metaphysics – Feng Shui, Chinese Astrology, Divination methods such as iChing, Qi Men Dun Jia and Da Liu Ren. In my free time, you can find me watching travel, food and health-related documentaries on Netflix.
